Sam hopes to set up a meeting with Brian Messmer, Jackpot School Principal.  The School has received a grant for after school programs.   Mr. Messmer feels the parents do not volunteer for after the school programs, but Boys & Girls Club has paid personnel that are available.  AGENDA ITEM APRIL

Jackpot Public Works

Ed Ellis, Jackpot Public Works Supervisor, stated all systems were working well.  He and Lynn Forsberg had been touring area wastewater facilities.  They will be looking at two more and then will be making a recommendation for contracting with an engineering firm for updates to the wastewater plant.

The Public Works crew will be working on the streets as soon as it is dry enough. They will be cleaning out the cracks and treating the cracks with tar.

The department has one big project planned this year, they will be installing a 12" waterline from Keno Drive, at the corner of Cactus Petes property to Progressive Drive This project is currently funded.

The crew will be working on the new Kiddie Park, laying out the concrete, installing the irrigation system.    The Horseshoe pits will not be moved   Ed explained the submitted drawings for the Advisory Board.  The Advisory Board felt that this company, located in Salt Lake City, was more logical than dealing with the one M.I.G had recommended, which was located in Belgium, and there was more play equipment and continuity in this proposal for the same amount of money.   Larry asked if the Salt Lake City Company had constructed any playground areas near here to look at the quality of work.   Ed offered to contact Lynn for e-mail address for this company, so the Advisory Board could see some of the equipment that was provided by this company, he also said that he and Lynn would be going to Colorado and Wyoming looking at wastewater plants, and there was a chance they could stop and meet with the Salt Lake City company.      Ed stated his greatest worry was to construct something that the kids couldn't tear up.

.The current portion of the Airport fencing has been completed.  The State Legislation in session currently funding the completion of the project.
